We're BACK!!!

Sorry Guys! 

We've been "MISSING IN ACTION" lately!  A crashed computer, that wipes out your whole hard drive will do that to ya! Ugh, Yeah...that would also be why the lack of fridge notes lately! Toss in Easter, the Church Picnic and Mothers Day and you get the picture.  Thank you all for being patient, while we got things back on track!

Exciting News!!!

Our very own Lane! Had the oppurtunity this weekend to go to Washington D.C. with his dad!

They are there in support of CELL PHONES SAVE LIVES!

You see a few months back Lane did just that, grabbed his dads cell phone and dialed 911! They were at the ball field practicing when, his dad suddenly fell to the ground with heart trouble.  Lane and his friend acted quickly and possibly saved a life!  Good Job LANE! We're Proud of YOU!

THIS WEEK at FAITH CITY's Crosstown Kids

Genesis 12

Last week we discussed Genesis 11 

and the Tower of Babel...

we talked about how the people sought to glorify themselves through their work.  Because of this they lost the ability to communicate with ONE language and therefore chaos ensued.  But that by giving Thanks to God for our Blessing and abilities we not only glorify God but also share God's Love with others!

Did you give your best cookie?

Did you give your favorite cookie away?

This last Sunday at Faith City Church we learned about and discussed Genesis 4-5.  We talked about how Able gave his BEST and Cain gave his ROTTEN fruits and vegetables.  Do we share our best?  Not always, we're human and we can sometimes be selfish.  That's O.K.!  We as christians are given forgiveness and grace...In the future we hope that we think before we act, that we may notice our selfish ways and make a change. 

So... we did our little "experiment", PASS THE COOKIE!  Given 3 different kinds of cookies (all YUMMY), we surveyed the crowd and voted as to which were our favorites.  Then we asked that each attendee pass a cookie to their neighbor.  How many passed their FAVORITE!  What a great llittle experiment and life lesson.  So maybe you weren't here or maybe you didn't pass your BEST.  But what will you do next time?   What Would Jesus Do?

Whenever people are jealous or selfish, they cause trouble and do all sorts of cruel things.

James 3:16

So what could you do now, in the middle of the week to GIVE YOUR BEST?

• Share with a friend.
• Give time, time that you may usually use for yourself to someone else...Read to a sibling, Wash dishes for Mom, Pull weeds in the yard for Dad.
• Help a teacher at school.
• Bring the trash can or recycle container up for a neighbor.

Hey Guys!  So glad you're here! 

 This week we are studying Genesis 4-5.  

GENESIS 1

The Creation story is one of the most controversial stories in the Bible.  Of all of the opposition you may hear attacking the truth of God's Word, this story takes the most heat.  This week we learned about each day of creation.  Although it is important to take in the detailed descriptions in Genesis 1, believing that God's Word is true is unquestionably the most important thing we can take away from this story.  And this is why this weeks verse is so important, we want those words to rise up in your hearts always. 


...even if everyone else is a liar, God is true!...Romans 3:4


Take time this week to reread Genesis 1 with a family member, discuss just how amazing Our God is, take time to look around Thank God for what he's done for you.
